4 cr, lecture. Fundamental genetic principles with examples from microorganisms, plants, lower animals, and humans. For students majoring in science, mathematics or biology-related professions. In general, there will be a mix of lectures, discussion activities and exams. Plan on doing a lot of out-of-class reading and problems.
