NSF General Teacher Sites : A page of Teacher Links from the Directorate for Education and Human Resources at the National Science Foundation.

Dear Habermas, A Journal of Postmodern Thought : All I can say is plan to spend some time here. You can thank California State University and the UW-P for this site.

Internet Resources for Institutional Research : This University of Virginia site has mouseovers to explain each organization represented by buttons on the Homepage. The Map of Links button  provides "over 2,400 links by category".   

Theory Into Practice Database : TIP is a tool intended to make learning and instructional theory more accessible to educators. The database contains brief
summaries of 50 major theories of learning and instruction. These theories can also be accessed by learning domains and concepts. 

Virginia Commonwealth University: Teaching : Topics include: Features, Best Practices, Evaluation, Conversations, Resources/Services, and Workshops/Seminars.  

Educational Theory Handbook : Nice inclusive individual site that provides content about twenty-three theorists and theories. 

International Forum of Educational Technology & Society : "The forum will benefit all developers of technology based educational systems (including AI researchers) by focusing on the practical purpose of their developments. It will also benefit educators who plan to enhance the teaching and learning processes and improve access to education."  ... And its free.

Assessment

Change Magazine : "Change is AAHE's award-winning bimonthly magazine, published by Heldref Publications, a division of the non-profit Helen Dwight Reid Foundation, under the editorial leadership of the American Association for Higher Education." Here you may sample a bit of it online.

Tools for Teaching: Quizzes, Tests, and Exams : This is a fairly comprehensive collection of assessment information from the University of California, Berkeley.

Likert Scale : This is a really nice page which provides Likert Scale adjective in an organized table format from Boise State University.

1001 Free Background Graphics : I got the background for my pages there.

The Graphics File Format Page : "These pages contain specifications for various graphics file formats; along with a number of relevant graphics utilities, information, and URLs." All the technical information you could possibly desire appears to be at this site from the U.K.

Issues with Graphics Used on Web Pages in Office 2000 : The is a Microsoft page.  I would also recommend  When to Use Specific Graphics Formats in Office 2000 for  an explanation of graphic file types and characteristics.

Software Resources

TechSmith's Products : This is the source of one of my favorite and most useful tools SnagIt, a Windows screen capture software.  TechSmith also offers a screen recorder, video editor and AVI audio editor.

Apple - QuickTime : You can go to the download section and get the latest version of "QuickTime 4.1.2 is the latest version of Apple's complete technology for handling
video, sound, animation, graphics, text, music, and even 360-degree virtual reality (VR) scenes."  This version may be necessary to hear the audio on QuickTime movies.
