M/MLA members are guaranteed a special room rate of $140 for a single,
$140 for a double, $155 for a triple, and $169 for a quad at the Hilton
Chicago. To secure the special rate, be sure to make your reservation
by October 20 and be sure to mention the M/MLA when calling the hotel's
reservation line (1-800-HILTONS or 1-800-445-8667). The Hilton Chicago
can begin accepting M/MLA reservations on August 11, 2003.
Because the M/MLA has a guest obligation at the convention hotel in return
for complimentary meeting space, members are warmly urged to take advantage
of the exceptionally good rate that a fair amount of wrangling has secured.
That has seemed a wiser option in keeping with M/MLA tradition than lining
up competing hotels, all of whom would have to be paid for meeting space
via higher convention registration rates. As usual, we are trying to keep
those low.
